Abstract

The present work represents research on the increase in the thickness of the trunk, the fruit production and their weight obtained in a peach plantation of intensive and super-intensive type, in the conditions of Bihor County. For the advantages of the intensive and super-intensive system of tree cultivation, it was considered that this can be a solution to increase production using rootstocks and standard cultivars for the peach species as well. For the research the Suncrest peach cultivar was used, a cultivar with excellent productivity, with the ripening period in the second half of August. The trees were planted at distances of 4 x 3, 4 x 2, 4 x 1, 4 x 0.5 meters. During the research, only NPK fertilization was applied, without an irrigation system. The measurements were made in 2023 and it was found that the best production was obtained at a planting distance of 4 x 1 meters, with 2500 trees/hectare.
